A THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Today’s chapter holds some of the most wonderful words ever to be read. They’re re-establishing a lost connection – unveiling a mystery that’s been hidden in ages past. But it starts with a tall order: “Be imitators of God…” Problem is, we’ve often lost our knowledge of who God is, or which god to imitate. As HIStory has proven, we’ve lost the ability to imitate our Creator God – even if we had books and books and more books of detailed instructions! But this is only the beginning of Paul’s statement, in today’s chapter. The rest is like waking up this morning to sweet honey-tasting wafer that melts on my tongue…
“Be imitators of God, as beloved children; and walk in love, just as Christ also loved us and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma.” [v1-2]
My Creator called me His dearly-loved child. He lovingly sacrificed everything for me – pouring out His life like a fragrant aroma – in order that I wouldn’t be lost or searching. Instead, it’d finally be possible for me to imitate the One who made me in His own image to be like Him.[a]

THE LORD’S PRAYER:
1. Praise: “Our Father in Heaven, how great is Your name! Your Kingdom come! Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven…”
You’re great, and most worthy of my praise, Lord God! You’re to be feared above all gods. [1 Chronicles 16:25]

Your concerns for today
You Lord, are the God who saves me. Day and night I cry out to You. [Psalm 88:1]
3. Admit: “…Forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us…”
Help me not be wise in my own eyes, Father God. Help me to fear You and shun evil. [Proverbs 3:7]
4. Protect: “…Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from the evil one…”
Thank-you Lord, that Your deliverance is simple, if I declare with my mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in my heart that You raised Him from the dead, I’ll be saved. [Romans 10:9]
“ For Yours Lord is the Kingdom, the Power, and the Glory for ever and ever. Amen”
