08 March: Meeting Planning

I wonder what you’d think about knowing how, when, where and why we can plan a meeting with our maker… without having to die first!

READ MATTHEW 6  Make notes, if you’d like, of what stands out for you. Feel free to use the “Leave a Comment” box below to also write some of your thoughts.

Someone once asked a Believer how he knew that the Creator God existed, to which he answered, “Of course He exists, I was only just talking with Him this morning!” So today’s chapter holds a lot of Jesus’ teaching about prayer (communication with the Creator God) and having a personal connection with our Maker right now – while we’re still alive. But one thing that stands out for me today, is Jesus’ teaching on meeting planning – planning time to meet personally and regularly with Father God. The Creator God has revealed Himself to us as Father God.[a]  So, like a daughter, I can now sit at the feet of my Maker each morning in the quiet of my own home. [v6]

   1.   Praise: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your Name. Your Kingdom come! Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven …”

My heart rejoices in You, Lord. In You, Lord God, my strength is lifted high. My mouth boasts over my enemies because I delight in Your deliverance. [1 Samuel 2:1]

   2.   Ask: “…Give us today our daily bread…”

  • Your concerns for today
You heard my plea, O God, now don’t close Your ears to my cry for relief. [Lamentations 3:56]

   3.   Admit: “…Forgive us our sin as we forgive those who sin against us…”

As I go about my daily business, Father God, help me to meditate on Your precepts and consider Your ways. [Psalm 119:15]

   4.   Protect: “…Lead us not into temptation but delivers us from evil.”

I see what great love that You, Father, have lavished on me, that I should be called a child of God! And that is what I am! [1 John 3:1]

“For Yours Lord is the Kingdom, the Power and the Glory now and forever. Amen!”

When Jesus was questioned, tested, tricked or in His hour of great need, He always spoke things that were previously written in God’s Word.[f] Following these memory verses from ten topics, will help you learn 52 verses from the bible in a year!
