A THOUGHT FOR TODAY:

When reading our children’s book on the History of Great Britain one day, I was horrified to discover that a third of the world’s population perished in the Black Plague. It was seriously apocalyptic![a] Few of us have experienced a real plague of significant scale. Our fears are likely to be the modern-day “plague” of cancer, divorce, or wars that we can’t seem to eradicate. We’re limited, and we hit our limit (especially when it comes to faith in a higher order of things) when the truly shocking strikes.

Today’s chapter shows The Unlimited God unleashing limitless power on what many would call, the Greatest Civilization in Ancient History. The next chapters in our Daily Breadcrumbs demonstrate the futility of trying to limit the Creator God’s plans. So, when I hit my limit, because of something that’s plaguing my life, it’s worth me remembering that the story’s not over yet. The best is still to come – even if the journey ahead of me is long and tumultuous…

THE LORD’S PRAYER:

  1. Praise: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your Name. Your Kingdom come! Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven …”
It’s good to praise You Lord, and make music to Your Name, O Most High. I want to proclaim Your love in the morning and Your faithfulness at night! [Psalm 92:1-2]
  1. Ask: “…Give us today our daily bread…”

  • Yourself: Your “Daily Bread”
  • Your concerns for today
Father, give attention to Your servant’s prayer and plea for mercy. Hear the cry and the prayer that I’m praying in Your presence today. [2 Chronicles 6:19]
  1. Admit: “…Forgive us our sin as we forgive those who sin against us…”
Jesus said: “Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I AM gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” [Matthew 11:29-30]
  1. Protect: “…Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.”
Sovereign Lord, You’ve begun to show to me Your greatness and Your strong hand. For what god is there in heaven or on earth who can do the deeds and mighty works that You do? [Deuteronomy 3:24]

“For Yours Lord is the Kingdom, the Power and the Glory now and forever. Amen!”

When Jesus was questioned, tested, tricked or in His hour of great need, He always spoke things that were previously written in God’s Word.[d] Following these memory verses from ten topics, will help you learn 52 verses from the bible in a year!  THIS WEEK’S MEMORY VERSE: Topic = Spiritual Conflict
