We often place great emphasis on education, qualifications, work experience, and whether or not you’ve written a book. But today’s chapter shows that the Creator gives His greatest roles to those with nothing.…

A THOUGHT FOR TODAY:

There are few situations in life where I’m NOT intimidated. Even if I know that I’m fully able, from my work experience, there’ll always be someone else who has the paperwork to say they’re more “qualified”. But in today’s chapter, yet again, the Creator God appears to be opposite to this world and our ways, when qualifying people for the impossible.

Instead of passing Moses off as a fugitive murderer[a] who can’t make a speech without fumbling [v10], his Maker pushes passed all his fears and encourages Moses in his weakness. Based on who our Maker is, and HIS qualifications, we’re simply to have Faith in Action. [v11] The God who calls Himself “I Am” said: “I Am with you…” – both helping and teaching. [v12,15] That same God who is “I AM” today – just as He has always been – is with me too. In surrendering myself to the One who resides within the supernatural, I become qualified for the impossible.[b]

THE LORD’S PRAYER:

   1.   Praise: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your Name. Your Kingdom come! Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven …”

I will praise You Lord, because You counsel me. Even at night Your Holy Spirit instructs me. [Psalm 16:7]

   2.   Ask: “…Give us today our daily bread…”

Jesus said: “I Am the bread of life. Whoever comes to Me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in Me will never be thirsty.”  [John 6:35]

   3.   Admit: “…Forgive us our sin as we forgive those who sin against us…”

What god is like You, Father – You who pardon sins and forgive the transgressions of those who cling to You? You don’t stay angry forever but delight to show mercy. [Micah 7:18]

   4.   Protect: “…Lead us not into temptation but delivers us from evil.”

Though confronted in the day of my disaster, Lord, You are my support. You’ll bring me out into a spacious place; You’ll rescue me because You delight in me. [2 Samuel 22:19-20]

“For Yours Lord is the Kingdom, the Power and the Glory now and forever. Amen!”

When Jesus was questioned, tested, tricked or in His hour of great need, He always spoke things that were previously written in God’s Word.[e] Following these memory verses from ten topics, will help you learn 52 verses from the bible in a year! THIS WEEK’S MEMORY VERSE: Topic = The Creator’s Will
