A THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
I was young and naïve at nineteen, when I had my car accident. I wrote about it in my second book Mysterious? …expect the unexpected… After plunging more than 100 feet down a mountainside at dead of night, we crawled back to the top road where I said to the Lord, “Ok God, I’m in. Whatever it takes, I’ll follow You wherever You go.” Like most people today I guess, had I known back then where my life journey would take me, I may not have signed up for it!
Like being picked for a life that you never thought you’d lead, Jesus, in today’s chapter, had hand-picked twelve men for an employment opportunity before they knew what the job entailed! Knowing who could cope with what lay ahead, He instructed them with the immediate task. [v1-16] Then, linking to what the ancient prophet Micah foretold[a], Jesus told them that extreme scenarios lay ahead. [v21,22,36] Yet Good News is always better than the bad. THE LORD’S PRAYER:
1. Praise: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your Name. Your Kingdom come! Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven …”
I praise Your glorious Name forever, Lord! May the whole earth be filled with Your glory. [Psalm 72:19]
2. Ask: “…Give us today our daily bread…”

Your concerns for today
I’ll forget the former things and won’t dwell on the past, Lord God, because You’re doing a new thing! Now it springs up; Yes, I perceive it! You’re making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” [Isaiah 43:18-19]
3. Admit: “…Forgive us our sin as we forgive those who sin against us…”
Please hear the supplications of Your servant, O God, and of Your people when they pray towards You. Hear from heaven, Your dwelling place, and when You hear, forgive. [2 Chronicles 6:21]
4. Protect: “…Lead us not into temptation but delivers us from evil.”
You’re able to establish me, Father God, in accordance with Your “gospel” – the Good News message proclaimed about Jesus Christ, in keeping with the revelation of the mystery hidden for long ages past, but now revealed so that all people everywhere might choose the obedience that comes from faith. And so, because of this, to You Lord – the only wise God – be glory forever and ever! [Romans 16:25,27]
“For Yours Lord is the Kingdom, the Power and the Glory now and forever. Amen!”
When Jesus was questioned, tested, tricked or in His hour of great need, He always spoke things that were previously written in God’s Word.[d] Following these memory verses from ten topics, will help you learn 52 verses from the bible in a year!
