A THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Being aware now of all the work that my husband puts into maintaining our house, I’m in wonder over what just happened in today’s chapter! To dig a sizable hole in someone’s roof so that a paralytic could be lowered down through the ceiling would have caused some DIY repair work after the crowds left! [v4] But today’s story wasn’t about the roof, it was about whether or not Jesus had the authority to forgive sin. [v5-12]
So here’s the thing and I can’t get around it: I can either approach the whole of LIFE as a sort of Do It Yourself scenario; look for the formula for that perfect life yet continually risk the gaping holes that regularly appear over my head; or, I can join those who have noticed that something is missing between me and heaven.
