A THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
In 2013, we had the privilege of visiting Qatar and, when we arrived, it was the start of Eid-al-Adha – the Muslim “Feast of Sacrifice” in memory of the Creator God providing a Lamb and, in the process, sparing Abraham’s son.[a] After visiting our ship, one Middle Eastern ruler once said, “I have heard of the United Nations but you are truly united nations.” Yet this was always the Creator God’s eternal purpose. [v11]
Paul uses the word ‘mystery’ four times in his letter to Believer living in Ephesus in the 1st Century AD. But what was previously hidden from ages past is now made plain to everyone. [v9] Through the gospel (the Good News of the Creator God’s Global MasterPlan), we’re no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and members of His household.[b] People from all nations are now united as heirs and members together of one body (one family) – sharers together of the Creator’s ancient promises. [v6] The Creator God accomplished this in Christ Jesus – the Eid Lamb, that One Perfect Sacrifice for the forgiveness of sins that had been foretold as a provision to our story as far back as the beginning of HIStory.[c] In Him, and through faith in Him, all are now united in freedom and confidence to approach our Maker. [v12]

THE LORD’S PRAYER:
1. Praise: “Our Father in Heaven, how great is Your name! Your Kingdom come! Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven…”
You’re my praise, Lord. You’re my God, who performed great and awesome wonders for me that I saw with My own eyes. [Deuteronomy 10:21]
2. Ask: “…Give us today our daily bread…”

Yourself: Strength for obedience
Your concerns for today
Hear my prayer, Lord God; let my cry for help come to you. [Psalm 102:1]
3. Admit: “…Forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us…”
Help me to turn from my evil deeds, Father God; reform my ways and my actions. Help me avert the disaster that’s ahead and the plan that You have against those who refuse to change. [Jeremiah 18:11]
4. Protect: “…Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from the evil one…”
Thank-you for the confidence I have that, beyond all question, Lord, the mystery from which true godliness springs is great! You appeared in the flesh; You were vindicated by the Spirit, seen by angels, preached among the nations, believed on in all the world, and taken up in glory. [1 Timothy 3:16]
“ For Yours Lord is the Kingdom, the Power, and the Glory for ever and ever. Amen!”
When questioned, tested, tricked or in His hour of great need, Jesus spoke what was previously written in God’s Word.[g] So, the final section on this page is about memorizing the script through 10 topics.
