Whether you are trying to fathom why Life seems to be a constant uphill battle or find yourself in a world obsessed with securing a bright future, today’s chapter holds the key to the elusive “prosperity and success”…

A THOUGHT FOR TODAY:

When it comes to prosperity, there seems to be an array of misguided ideas. Some think that “blessing” is handed to you from a benevolent God, and this without putting in the hours of slavery and overtime that most rich people have to put in while climbing “the success ladder” to where they are today. It seems to me that today’s chapter holds that hard to get hold of golden key to success…

“This Sefer HaTorah (Book of Law) shall not depart out of your mouth; but you shall meditate on it yomam valailah (day and night) so that you may be shomer (on your guard) to do according to all that is written within it; for then you shall make your derech (path/way/life-journey) prosperous, and then you shall have good success.” [Joshua 1:8]
Unlocking Prosperity and Success
Navigating Prosperity and Success

Like most fathers, our Maker and Father God doesn’t care if His children grow up to be simple labourers as long as we have everything we need.[a] The core thing that I notice from His Handbook for Life is that He’s really interested in developing His relationship with us. In Joshua’s day, they only had the first five books of our Maker’s Operating Manual – the Bible. These first five books are known as the “Book of Law” (Torah). Today, we have a library of 66 books in our Creator God’s Guidebook for LIFE. This is my way of connecting with and draw on my Father God’s idea of prosperity and success – His golden key to prosper (flourish/thrive/grow) in a successful navigation through this life. And since we were created in His own image to operate in His Likeness[b], the only book worth reading when wanting to succeed in functioning with high output is our Manufacturer’s Guidebook. Read More? …CLICK on “01 May – Additional Notes”

THE LORD’S PRAYER:

   1.   Praise: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your Name. Your Kingdom come! Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven …”

May people from all nations be glad and sing for joy, for You, O God, rule the peoples with equity and guide the nations of the earth. May the peoples praise You! May all the peoples praise You! [Psalm 67:4-5]

   2.   Ask: “…Give us today our daily bread…”

  • Your concerns for today
This is the confidence I have in approaching You, Father God: that if I ask anything according to Your Will, You hear me. [1 John 5:14]

   3.   Admit: “…Forgive us our sin as we forgive those who sin against us…”

Good and upright are You, Lord. Therefore, You instruct sinners in Your ways. You guide the humble in what’s right and You teach me Your way. [Psalm 25:8-9]

   4.   Protect: “…Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.”

I’ve seen what You did to Egypt, and I know now how You carried Your people on eagles’ wings. Therefore, You’ll bring me to Yourself. [Exodus 19:4]

“For Yours Lord is the Kingdom, the Power and the Glory now and forever. Amen!”

When Jesus was questioned, tested, tricked or in His hour of great need, He always spoke things that were previously written in God’s Word.[e] Following these memory verses from ten topics, will help you learn 52 verses from the bible in a year!  THIS WEEK’S MEMORY VERSE: An Assured Future
