A THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Like the two men on the original road to Emmaus, Israel in the 1st Century AD, I too could have heard about thoughts and concepts, from the greatest of teachers, related to the Creator’s Global Plan. [v27] I think I could also get a physical reaction inside when truth resonates deep within my heart and soul. [v32]
However, after listening and getting a feeling inside, there’s a third step. I need to make a personal “spiritual” connection [v30-31] that’s so compelling, it makes me get up out up my chair, head to where I can find Him [v33], and immediately take what He’s offering. Without that, I could remain permanently blind to what’s staring me right in the face. [v15-16]

THE LORD’S PRAYER:

3. Admit: “…Forgive us our sin as we forgive those who sin against us…”
I know that You, Father God, have settled the matter: though my sins are like scarlet, they’ll be as white as snow before You. Though they are red as crimson, they’ll be like wool. [Isaiah 1:18]
4. Protect: “…Lead us not into temptation but delivers us from evil.”
Thank-you that You’ve told me these things, Lord God, so that in You I’ll have peace. In this world I’ll have trouble. But I can take heart because You’ve overcome the world. [John 16:33]
