Look Up Books UK is a small non-profit publishing tool for launching my two books. It also offers self-publishing assistance and advice with editing, proof-reading and printing services for ‘fledgling authors’.
The name Look Up Books was inspired by a story written in a letter. It was penned sometime after 625 BC by King Nebuchadnezzar, a Babylonian Emperor and fourth king of the second dynasty of Isin. Because the letter was addressed: “…to the nations and peoples of every language, who live in all the earth…” I thought it important to remember his story today. But one very simple sentence in the letter stood out: “…I, Nebuchadnezzar, looked up toward heaven, and my reason returned…“* The concept of ‘looking up’ and in doing that, making a personal connection with the Most High God, just as Nebuchadnezzar had done, is now the HOPE underpinning Look Up Books. Inbuilt reason concerning our Maker – the One who made us in His own image – can indeed be fully restored and it may be as simple as… looking up.
