A THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Logistics, consultancy and system solutions has been a multimillion-dollar industry for decades. If you have a problem, there’ll be a solution out there. The only question is: What’s the price of the solution?
Every day, week and year, I’m faced with life issues that require lifetime solutions. Whatever the issue I face – great or small – wrong or selfish motivation will always produce wrong solutions. Samuel, in today’s chapter, had a problem: he was coming to the end of his life and his sons were dysfunctional. [v1-3] However, in trying to correct a legitimate problem, matters were made worse by the selfish motives of those suggesting a highly-priced solution. [v10-19] The cost of this Lifetime Solution: losing their Creator as King. [v7-8] So, the question for me, as I wake up today is: What price am I willing to put on the greatest solution of all – the lifetime solution that allows my Creator God to rule and reign as Lord and King over my life …today, and always…

THE LORD’S PRAYER:
1. Praise: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your Name. Your Kingdom come! Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven …”
May the wilderness and its towns raise their voices; let the settlements rejoice in You, Father God! Let the people sing for joy; let them shout from the mountaintops! May they give glory to You Lord, and proclaim Your praise in the islands. [Isaiah 42:11-12]
2. Ask: “…Give us today our daily bread…”

Your concerns for today
Jesus said: “And when you pray, don’t keep on babbling like people who they think they’ll be heard because of their many words. Don’t be like them, for your Father in Heaven knows what you need before you ask Him. [Matthew 6:7-8]
3. Admit: “…Forgive us our sin as we forgive those who sin against us…”
Thank-you Father God, for making an everlasting covenant with Your people: that You’ll never stop doing good to us, and You’ll inspire us by Your Holy Spirit to fear You, so that we’ll never turn away from You. [Jeremiah 32:40]
4. Protect: “…Lead us not into temptation but delivers us from evil.”
On my bed I remember You, O God. I think of You through the watches of the night. Because You are my help, I sing in the shadow of Your wings. I cling to You; Your right hand upholds me. [Psalm 63:6-8]
“For Yours Lord is the Kingdom, the Power and the Glory now and forever. Amen!”
When Jesus was questioned, tested, tricked or in His hour of great need, He always spoke things that were previously written in God’s Word.[c] Following these memory verses from ten topics, will help you learn 52 verses from the bible in a year! THIS WEEK’S MEMORY VERSE: Serving Others
