A THOUGHT FOR TODAY:

Throughout my childhood, life seemed to be governed by the arrival of unexpected moments. When the time came [v10] we were often thrown into confusion, or caught unexpectedly in life-altering change.

Unlike this, though, the Creator God has revealed the mystery of His Ancient Plan well ahead of time. No-one will be caught unawares, no-one left confused, and no-one left out. Not only were humans handmade in His own image to be like Him so that we could rule[a], He chose us (in Himself and before the creation of the world), to be holy and blameless in His sight. [v4]  In addition to this original Plan, “…with all wisdom and understanding…according to His kind intention (which He purposed in Christ, to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfilment), He’ll bring unity to all things – summing up all things in heaven and on earth under Christ. [v8-10]  Amazingly, the ancient prophet Isaiah predicted the Creator’s global MasterPlan for His One World Government, when He first told the world 28 centuries ago that: “…the government will rest on His shoulders….”[b]

THE LORD’S PRAYER:

   1.   Praise: “Our Father in Heaven, how great is Your name! Your Kingdom come! Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven…”

I want to love the Lord my God with all my heart and with all my soul and with all my might. [Deuteronomy 6:5]

   2.   Ask: “…Give us today our daily bread…

  • Your concerns for today
I cry, Lord, with all my heart. Answer me, O Lord, for I will observe Your statutes. [Psalm 119:145]

   3.   Admit: “…Forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us…”

I don’t have to tremble, Father God, nor need I be afraid. You, God of Creation, have long announced it and declared it. I stand as witness that there’s been no god in history like You – the Rock – I know of none. [Isaiah 44:8]

   4.   Protect: “…Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from the evil one…”

You on whom I’ve set my hope, deliver me from so great a peril as death and I’ll be delivered – for You, Lord, will yet deliver me. [2 Corinthians 1:10]

“ For Yours Lord is the Kingdom, the Power, and the Glory for ever and ever. Amen”

When questioned, tested, tricked or in His hour of great need, Jesus spoke what was previously written in God’s Word.[g] So, the final section on this page is about memorizing the script through 10 topics.
