A THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Whatever it is that Life throws at us, whatever we have to endure and persevere through, whoever we are, and in whatever living environment, regardless of age or culture, whether we’re rich or poor, free or oppressed, and no matter what generation in human history, our Creator God’s epic storyline is a message of HOPE for our instruction. [v4] Nestled within teaching about our new ‘family culture’ (that is to say, no longer living by the value system of this world; but instead, changing over to live as migrants and citizens of heaven[a] in a sub-culture guided by the value system of the Kingdom of our Father God v5-8), there are lovely words of HOPE that catch my eye today…
“May the Elohei HaTikvah (the God of All Hope of Our Promises) fill you with simcha (gladness, joy) and shalom (peace) in believing, that you may overflow in tikvah (hope), in the ko’ach (power) of the Ruach Hakodesh (The Creator God’s Holy Spirit).” [v13]
The Creator God’s Word is designed to be HOPE – the Hope Of People Everywhere. Why? What’s His plan? So that those who have not been told (received the news) of Him will see; and those who have not heard will understand[b]! [v21]

THE LORD’S PRAYER:
1. Praise: “Our Father in Heaven, how great is Your name – may Your Name be hallowed (revered)! Your Kingdom come! Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven…”
In You God, whose Word I praise, and in the Lord, whose word I praise—I trust in God and I’m not afraid. [Psalm 56:10-11a]

I can stand on history today, Father God, knowing that You are a God who hears the prayers of Your people, and the plea that I’ve made before You. [1 Kings 9:3]
3. Admit: “…Forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us…”
Every day when I get it wrong, Lord, please help me to get wisdom and understanding, so that I don’t forget Your words or turn away from them. [Proverbs 4:5]
4. Protect: “…Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from the evil one…”
Thank-you Lord God Almighty, that the one who’s victorious will be dressed in white. You’ll never blot out the name of that person from Your Book of Life. I’ll be acknowledged before my Maker and His angels. [Revelation 3:5]
“ For Yours Lord is the Kingdom, the Power, and the Glory for ever and ever. Amen”
