25 February: Deaf, Dumb & Blind

I can’t imagine what life could be like when divine intervention becomes the only solution for restoring hearing, sight and the ability to understand…

A THOUGHT FOR TODAY:

Understanding the Signs

Understanding the Signs

Looking back to the days when I began processing the concept of the existence and involvement of the Creator God in everyday life, I understand the terms: deaf, dumb and blind. I saw and experienced great trials; I’d been given signs that my Maker was alive and at work; I surveyed the great wonders of His creation; and (beginning first with my car accident when I was nineteen), I’d come face-to-face with moments that, quite miraculously, defied physics, logic or the law of probability. Still, without a spiritual perspective, it was as if I were deaf, dumb and blind to my Creator God. [v2-4]

Today’s chapter shows that it wasn’t actually possible for me to “follow the terms of the covenant” [v9] without divine intervention in my life. [v4] For one thing, my Maker’s given a level of perception to believe that an “agreement” exists in the first place. It’s a real agreement that the Creator God has made on oath with humankind. It’s not just with those standing there at the time, but also with anyone – just like me who wasn’t there. [v15] Read More… CLICK on “25 February – Additional Notes”

Wanting to speak with, and hear from, your Maker? The rest of this webpage uses Jesus’ own prayer to help…[a]

THE LORD’S PRAYER:

   1.   Praise: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your Name. Your Kingdom come! Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven …”

With praise and thanksgiving I’ll sing to the Lord: “He is good; His love toward His people endures forever.” I give a great shout of praise to the Lord, because the foundation of His house[b] has been laid. [Ezra 3:11]

   2.   Ask: “…Give us today our daily bread…”

  • The World: Pray for government decisions in Austria[c]
  • Your Country: Your county/state and local leaders
  • Yourself: Greater personal discipline
  • Your concerns for today
You’ve made everything beautiful in its time, Lord. You’ve also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what You’ve done from beginning to end. [Ecclesiastes 3:11]

   3.   Admit: “…Forgive us our sin as we forgive those who sin against us…”

Open for me the gates of the righteous, Lord God. Then I’ll enter in and give thanks to You. [Psalm 118:19]

   4.   Protect: “…Lead us not into temptation but delivers us from evil.”

Thank-you, Father God, that if I acknowledge that Jesus is the Son of God, then by Your Spirit You live in me and I in You. [1 John 4:15]

“For Yours Lord is the Kingdom, the Power and the Glory now and forever. Amen!”

When Jesus was questioned, tested, tricked or in His hour of great need, He always spoke things that were previously written in God’s Word.[d] Following these memory verses from ten topics, will help you learn 52 verses from the bible in a year! THIS WEEK’S MEMORY VERSE: Topic = The Creator’s Will

“And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.” [Romans 8:28]
