Kathy’s Car Accident

In December 1982 three of us went over a cliff  at night. It was a serious car accident that could have ended our lives.  This direction-altering moment brought irreversible change to the course of my life. I wrote about it in Chapter 4: Shattered on the Rock in my second book Mysterious? …Expect the unexpected… You can buy this book by clicking on the tab LookUpBooks UK on this website. In the meantime, here are the pictures for your interest!

With life hits rock bottom!
When life hits rock bottom! Who are those ant-people down there?
The roof where I was sitting was crushed in to 6 inches off the back seat. I wasn't wearing a seatbelt!

We crawled out of the windscreen.
We crawled out through the windscreen.
I climbed through from the back seat and stood up with my feet out of the passenger window and my head out the driver's window thanking God that we were still alive.

And yet we survived and live to tell the tale!
And yet we survived, and live to tell the tale. This was one of the last photos taken after we stripped the car of anything that could be used or sold.

To My Dear Friend Kathy, I always heard of it as Brett’s Car Accident, but I wasn’t the only one involved. What I called it, was a miracle. I may not have that T-Shirt anymore, but I certainly “shared Queensland with a friend”. Take care.
