A THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
In an age where many are caught up in chasing prosperity and “blessing” – especially if it’s somehow just handed to you from a benevolent God, without putting in the hours and hours of slavery and overtime that most rich people had to put in, while climbing “the success ladder” to where they are today – then this chapter holds that hard to get hold of golden key to success…
“Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.” [Joshua 1:8]
Like most fathers, Father God doesn’t care if His children grow up to simply be toilet cleaners – just so long as they have everything they need.[a] The only thing He’s really interested in is developing His relationship with you. In Joshua’s day they only had the first five books of the Bible known as the “Book of Law” and this was the way to connect with, and draw on, Father God’s idea of prosperity and success.
Today we have the whole “Book of Law” in a library of 66 books. It’s the Creator God’s Guidebook and golden key to prosper – which is to flourish/thrive/grow – in our successful navigation through this life.
