Today’s chapter starts with something as simple as a guy carrying his mat on the wrong day of the week, but swiftly moves to something so “out of this world” that it could be difficult to categorise it in your local library between Sci-Fi, thriller, or serious horror…

A THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Besides a possibility of restored life for the man with the mat, Jesus offers a restored relationship with the Lord, the Giver of Life. [v21] The Creator proved this possibility when He raised Jesus from the dead. [v26] The sign given to us was something written in the past[a], it happened on the first “Good Friday”[b], it’s still in our future[c], and it involves the greatest grave robbery in history:
“Very truly I tell you, a time is coming and has now come when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and those who hear will live.” [v25] “Do not be amazed at this, for a time is coming when all who are in their graves will hear His voice and come out—those who have done what is good will rise to live, and those who have done what is evil will rise to be condemned.” [v28-29]
You may categorise this under fiction, fairy tale or even horror. But however it’s filed, the good news today is that, if we simply believe the Creator God’s plan for humanity, we’re in line for the greatest gift of our lives! [v24]
