If you are wondering if anyone at all can hear your prayers, today’s chapter shows that apart for the very earliest stories, there’s always been a need for a perfect “go-between” when humans have attempted personal contact with the Divine…

A THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Just as Benjamin Franklin defied reason when he discovered that it was possible for a human to harness ten billion watts of electricity with a kite and a key, my Breadcrumbs on February 12 looked at how the High Priest was the first type of “go-between”, between a group of humans and their Maker.[a] But like any transformer or electrical power plug, the connection was only temporal.
Having confirmed that a go-between was good [v28], the Creator God had set the stage from then on with the right (and permanent) thought: that we need the right “connector” between us (who are sinful) and our Maker (who is holy). A huge puzzle piece is now on the table. This important gemstone of hidden wealth stored in secret places[b] is the idea of claiming free advocacy. This is now ready and waiting for us as our Creator God’s epic drama continues on. Read More… CLICK on “19 February – Additional Notes”
But what about your thoughts – can you tell me what today’s “breadcrumb” is? Leave a note in the “Comments” box below to tell me what you think of today’s chapter.

Your concerns for today
Ask the Lord for rain in the springtime. It’s the Lord who sends the thunderstorms. He gives showers of rain to all people. He blesses everyone with the plants of the field. [Zechariah 10:1]
3. Admit: “…Forgive us our sin as we forgive those who sin against us…”
Help me to hear and be careful to obey so that it may go well with me and that I may increase greatly in a land flowing with milk and honey, just as the Lord, the God of my ancestors, promised me. [Deuteronomy 6:3]
4. Protect: “…Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.”
I thank you, God of all grace. You’ve called me to Your eternal glory in Christ. After I’ve suffered a little while, You will restore me Yourself, and make me strong, firm and steadfast. To You be the power for ever and ever. [1 Peter 5:10-11]
“For Yours Lord is the Kingdom, the Power and the Glory now and forever. Amen!”
