If you have ever found yourself in broken pieces like Humpty Dumpty, there’s a saying: “The higher you climb, the further you fall” and never a truer statement said than that of King Solomon’s final years. The question is: what on earth went wrong?

A THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
For years we all knew that IQ (Intelligence Quotient) was a measure of our intelligence. In recent years, the clever people came up with EQ (Emotional Quotient) to measure our emotional intelligence; MQ for measuring Moral Intelligence, and CQ your Cultural Intelligence. But the key to tapping into sustainability (the capacity to endure) is in our SQ – our ability to understand and maintain our inbuilt Spiritual Intelligence.
King Solomon had it all: extensive trade channels; good relationships with a wide circle of country leaders; women, money, power AND intelligence[a] – a fantastic combination! Yet somehow, he got his eye off the ball and, any company boss will tell you how a moment’s distraction can bring the house down. In Solomon’s case, it destabilized a nation! But what was the problem?
The central cog for Solomon’s success was found in yesterday’s Breadcrumb: in accessing a sustainable connection to supernatural wisdom/knowledge/intelligence/breath of mind. But rather than protecting his source, the Creator God Himself, Solomon began to deteriorate at the very heart of the matter. [v9] This strategically-placed crack in the support structure of everything he had built up, would bring the nation down in no time at all. [v11] Read More? …CLICK on “11 June – Additional Notes”

THE LORD’S PRAYER:
1. Praise: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your Name. Your Kingdom come! Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven …”
Ascribe to the Lord, all you families of nations; ascribe to the Lord glory and strength! [1 Chronicles 16:28]
2. Ask: “…Give us today our daily bread…”

- Your concerns for today
Hear my prayer, Lord, and listen to my cry for help. Don’t be deaf to my weeping, though I live with You as a foreigner – as all my ancestors were. [Psalm 39:12]
3. Admit: “…Forgive us our sin as we forgive those who sin against us…”
The pride of my heart has deceived me, Lord. I lived in the cleft of the rocks and made my home on the heights. I wondered who could bring me down. Though I’ve soared with eagles and made my nest among the stars, in You I realise how low I am. Now forgive me, Father God, and show me Your grace. [Obadiah 1:3-4]
4. Protect: “…Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.”
Jesus said: “Peace I leave with you; My peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” [John 14:27]
“For Yours Lord is the Kingdom, the Power and the Glory now and forever. Amen!”
When Jesus was questioned, tested, tricked or in His hour of great need, He always spoke things that were previously written in God’s Word.[e] Following these memory verses from ten topics, will help you learn 52 verses from the bible in a year! THIS WEEK’S MEMORY VERSE: Using our Gifting
“We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.” [Romans 12:6-8]
