For years volcanologists have served the world faithfully by refining the technology for predicting volcanic activity in order to save lives. But what if one was brewing right under your feet and you didn’t know it…

A THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
The ancient prophet Joel, like all ancient prophets in the Creator God’s epic storyline was like a volcanologist. He was warning his extended family when their Father was about to “blow-up” and what could be done to avoid disaster. Correctly speaking though, Father God was telling Joel to warn his extended family throughout the nation of Israel that the ground under their feet was about to crack open and that if they didn’t take corrective measures, they’d fall into devastation.
But to leave the story at the bit where the Creator God is seen as a volcano that requires careful monitoring for volcanic activity in a bid to avoid catastrophic fire and brimstone, is a grave injustice towards who He is as Father of Creation. All good fathers will discipline the ones they love and chastise the one accepted as a son.[a] So, like all good fathers, the Creator’s epic storyline is filled with moments like today’s chapter, where He warns all those who have been created in His image to be like Him. When we’re “at the end of the rope” or “skating on thin ice”, judgement is brewing right under our feet.
Beyond the immediate necessary however, is always a preferred future that’s so great it’s truly “out of this world”! Read More? CLICK to follow “21 August – Additional Notes”
