A THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Regardless of output expectations in whatever environment I find myself, I don’t have to be like everyone else. I am today who my Maker wired me to be – so that HIS power works out through me in a specific way. I’m a matter of His choice. His design tailored for me to be of use in my environment. [v18]
Today’s chapter, written 1960+/- years ago, is about supernatural power at work in humankind. Even to be enabled to stand firm on the starting blocks and at the very least say: “Jesus is Lord”, is for example itself an act that is solely powered by His Holy Spirit at work in me from the inside out! [v3] Powered now by alternative energy, outside of what my limited natural resources offer, I’m not running about aimlessly in this life-journey. Nor am I disqualified for the prize set before me.[a] Energized by the Creator God’s Holy Spirit at work within me[b], I now have access to Jesus’ unlimited power to run my race in HIStory.

Your concerns for today
Just as You’ve heard the prayers of your people long ago, Father God, hear my prayers and petitions to You today. [Daniel 9:17]
3. Admit: “…Forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us…”
When I’ve been defeated because I’ve sinned against You, O Lord, and when I turn back and give praise to Your Name, then hear from heaven and forgive my sin and bring me into the place that You’ve planned for me. [2 Chronicles 6:24-25]
4. Protect: “…Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from the evil one…”
Now, Lord my God, deliver your people so that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that You, Lord, are the only God. [Isaiah 37:20]
“ For Yours Lord is the Kingdom, the Power, and the Glory for ever and ever. Amen”
