A THOUGHT FOR TODAY:

When our Michael died, one of the first things my sister said was, “I don’t understand. After everything you’ve done for God, and He repays you with this!” The concept of “reaping” blessing, after you “sow” into His Kingdom (either with money, or your efforts), wasn’t a new thing to me. It had been a growing teaching for at least 20 years, in the circles I’d been traveling in. At its peak, Mark came home upset after seeing a huge billboard in South Africa that read, “God wants you rich!

So how do you explain why bad things happen to good people – and, in Paul’s case, this included being falsely accused and locked up?! I think the answer is in the bigger picture. True worship of the Creator God, includes following His Way and agreeing with His rules and His promises. [v14] However, while this is true, it’s most certainly about my focus on the finish line. [v15]  It’s about my daily choices to live a lifestyle of righteousness and self-control, in light of my “life assessment” that’s to come. THE LORD’S PRAYER:

Thank-you Lord that through faith, I’m shielded by God’s power, until the coming of the salvation that’s ready to be revealed in the last time. [1 Peter 1:5]
