A THOUGHT FOR TODAY:

What happened in my Daily Breadcrumbs over the past week is the greatest story on earth! It’s a love story between the Creator God and humanity – the people He made in His own image to be like Him. However, history proved a problem. Although our blueprint design was to be created in His likeness[a], we’re actually not in His likeness at all. As soon as He gave us a handbook to show what He’s like, how to act like He would act, and think like He would think if He were us, we screwed up! By the 1st Century AD, the rift was so great that nothing on earth could bridge it – not the script, not the culture, not the messengers and not even “the traditions of the elders”. Nothing was working because the systems were followed by imperfect humans!

Then the Creator sent His Son and, although they killed the Author of Life[b], God raised Him from the dead.[c] This is what was seen and, just as Jesus wanted His followers to do [v18-20], we are all witnesses to this great news even today. Now, if I declare with my mouth, that Jesus is Lord, and believe in my heart that God raised Him from the dead, I will be saved[d] …saved from everything that’s wrong – everything that’s separating me from my Maker…

THE LORD’S PRAYER:

   1.   Praise: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your Name. Your Kingdom come! Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven …”

All Your creation, and intervention since, shall give thanks to You, O Lord, and Your people shall bless Your Name! They’ll speak of the glory of Your kingdom and talk about Your power. They’ll make known Your mighty acts to all the world, and the glory and majesty of Your everlasting kingdom. Your dominion endures throughout all generations! [Psalm 145:10-13]

   2.   Ask: “…Give us today our daily bread…”

  • The World: Pray for God’s Grace on China[f]
  • Your Country: God’s blessing on Your country
  • Yourself: Greater discipline
  • Your concerns for today
Thank-you, Lord, that although a crushed and broken spirit dries up the bones, a cheerful and grateful heart is good medicine. [Proverbs 17:22]

   3.   Admit: “…Forgive us our sin as we forgive those who sin against us…”

As I go about my daily choices Lord, help me to remember that Your command is to love one another as You have loved me. [John 15:12]

   4.   Protect: “…Lead us not into temptation but delivers us from evil.”

This is what the Lord, the Almighty, says: “I have swept away your offenses like a thick cloud, your sins like the heavy mist. Return to me, for I have redeemed you.” [Isaiah 44:22]

“For Yours Lord is the Kingdom, the Power and the Glory now and forever. Amen!”

When Jesus was questioned, tested, tricked or in His hour of great need, He always spoke things that were previously written in God’s Word.[g] Following these memory verses from ten topics, will help you learn 52 verses from the bible in a year! THIS WEEK’S MEMORY VERSE: Giving God’s Good News
